We had a heavy snowstorm last night-amount and weight-wise. Some of the branches were hanging pretty low or were broken. I went out this morning and did some pruning.

So, that got me in the mood. I've been pruning at home and here and there online, cleaning up "stuff" that has outlived its usefulness and purpose. It's a very therapeutic and soothing activity. Very liberating, in fact.

Pruning is also cutting away from a job that has outlived its usefulness. That is indeed a very soul-satisfying "pruning" as well.

I would recommend it physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sometimes, it is just good to be shed of both physical "stuff" and emotional baggage. There's a ton of stuff out for the garbage man this week, both for the guys who pick up the trash and for the imaginary guy who picks up the mental and emotional trash I'm sweeping out of my life.
